Tottenham Hotspur crashed out of the FA Cup in the fifth round to Everton at Goodison Park in a barnstorming match that saw the Toffees win 5-4 after extra-time – and Spurs are stunned by one moment in the second half.

Both clubs came into the match with their tails up. Spurs had Harry Kane back and beat West Brom 2-0 on Sunday, while Everton came from behind to secure a point against Manchester United at Old Trafford, drawing 3-3.

Spurs started instantly. Davinson Sanchez scored, only for Everton to score three goals in seven minutes just before half-time through Dom Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and a Gylfi Sigurdsson penalty saw Everton lead 3-1.

But there was enough time for Spurs to reply, as Erik Lamela finished well to make it 3-2. The introduction of Harry Kane was made just after half-time, and Sanchez got his second as Spurs took advantage of set-pieces again.

At 3-3, Everton took the lead again – this time Richarlison scored, answering public criticism from his manager. Son Heung-min then produced a moment of absolute magic with a left-footed cross, allowing Kane to head home.

Extra-time came about with the two sides drawing 4-4 and substitute Bernard scored the only goal of extra-time, Everton finally winning the stunning clash 5-4. But Spurs fans still praised Son for his cross to set up Kane.
