Tottenham medics are reportedly trying to find a way for Dele Alli to continue playing with an injury problem – and some of the club’s supporters are adamant that he will be okay to continue.

According to the Telegraph, the 23-year-old has a suspected broken hand that he sustained in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie with Manchester City on Tuesday.

It is understood that the Spurs medics are trying to find a way for him to continue.

The North London club face Huddersfield Town at home at the weekend in the Premier League, before the crucial return leg at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City next Wednesday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have a slender 1-0 advantage on aggregate, but lost centre-forward Harry Kane as he hobbled off in the first leg.

A selection of Spurs fans are certain that Alli will be capable of playing, with some pointing towards the fact that Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy played with a cast for a long period after breaking his wrist.

The attacking midfielder would be a colossal loss if he was ruled out against Manchester City, but supporters remain optimistic about the England international.
