Tottenham and Everton are set to do battle over Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico, according to El Intransigente.
The left-back is also on the radar of Borussia Dortmund and he could cost £50 million to any potential suitor.
A 27-year-old left-back, Tagliafico was part of the Ajax squad that reached the Champions League semi-final last season.
The Dutch outfit were beaten by Spurs and clearly he left an impression on someone during that two-legged affair.

Tagliafico loves to get forward and this season he has netted five goals from his typical left-back position.
Everton’s interest is perhaps more curious as they don’t currently have a manager. Dutchman Marcel Brands is responsible for buying the players at Goodison Park, however.
The Argentine performer has 25 caps for his country and it remains to be seen whether either of the Premier League duo will pounce in January.
TBR Verdict – Tagliafico just the tonic for Tottenham
Jose Mourinho is four games into his spell as the new Spurs manager and one thing that will be abundantly clear is the need for new full-backs.
Danny Rose and Ben Davies are hardly exciting propositions and it’s almost certainly an area which Mourinho will look to strengthen.
Tagliafico wouldn’t come cheap but he’d be worth every single penny.

The former Independiente player loves to get forward and he is also an accomplished tackler too.
Last season Tagliafico was part of a memorable run to the semi-final of the Champions League. Ajax defeated Real Madrid and Juventus along the way and many thought their name was to be on the trophy.
It wasn’t to be and they will hope to go one better this time around.
If Mourinho has his way that might be without Tagliafico.
