Tottenham qualified for the Champions League semi-finals on Wednesday by overcoming Manchester City and will now face Ajax.
The score was tied at 4-4 after the two legs, but Spurs progressed due to the away goal rule and the 4-3 defeat at the Etihad Stadium was enough to see them progress in midweek.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side showed tremendous bravery on a frantic European night and it was the attacking intent that won them the tie, as Heung-Min Son (two) and Fernando Llorente got on the scoresheet.
But at the opposite end Spurs had to defend for their lives against a rampant Manchester City, who had a stoppage time goal through Raheem Sterling ruled out from VAR.
There were several brilliant individual displays on Wednesday during the onslaught from Pep Guardiola’s team and defender Danny Rose came to the fore.

Rose was given a torrid time by the likes of Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne, but stood focused on his task and ultimately played his part on a historic night.
The left-back made a last-ditch tackle in the penalty area to deny a certain goal and couldn’t do much about the goal that unfortunately ricocheted in off him.
Amid the chaos of the thrilling game, the England international proved he’s still a top defender and kept his composure better than most.
Rose, who earns £60,000-a-week (Spotrac), is a full-back that has reignited his best form and proved his true value on the biggest stage of club football.
The 28-year-old is one of 12 first-team players that could be available for an exit in the summer (Evening Standard) and he would have been allowed to leave last summer.
But Rose has shown his importance this campaign and he has to be kept on.
