Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Darwin Nunez has been described by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp as a “really good” player.
According to the Daily Express, Spurs were amongst the clubs to have scouts in attendance to watch the Benfica ace at Anfield last week.
Indeed, recent reports claimed Jorge Mendes was in talks with Nunez about a potential move to Tottenham in case Harry Kane was sold.

However, Spurs aren’t the only club reportedly eyeing the Uruguay international.
As well as Tottenham, the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, West Ham, Newcastle and Arsenal apparently want Nunez.
The 22-year-old took his tally for the season to 31 goals from 34 appearances in all competitions at the weekend.
Following his goal against Liverpool in the Champions League, he netted a hat-trick in a 3-1 Primeira Liga win over Belenenses.
Speaking ahead of the Champions League return leg, Klopp waxed lyrical about Nunez.
“(He’s) extremely good-looking boy and a decent player as well!” he joked to the Liverpool media team.
“Really good, really good, I have to say.
“I knew him before, of course. But he played pretty much in front of me with these tough battles with Ibou Konate.
“Physically strong, quick, was calm around his finish when he finished the goal off.
“Good, really good. Obviously how you say in these situations, if he stays healthy, it’s a big career ahead of him.”
Can Tottenham get “shotgun striker” deal over the line?
Scouting site Breaking the Lines sung Nunez’s praises back in 2021.
“Darwin Nunez is a shotgun striker, so to speak,” they wrote.
“His movement menacingly incalculable, whilst his killer instincts remain a factor for his foes to be wary of, worried about, but with little by way of averting the inevitable.
“In no uncertain terms, the inevitable tends to be the Benfica forward’s rocket-fuelled right foot. But his overpowering presence appears in many forms.”
Former Benfica boss Jorge Jesus described him as a “world-class” striker in the making.
