After fears of a struggle former Tottenham striker Darren Bent has hailed boss Mauricio Pochettino following a remarkable run of form, in an interview with talkSport.
Spurs were dumped out of both cups last month, whilst the squad was decimated with injuries to Harry Kane and Dele Alli.
Pochettino has coped admirably though and Spurs have remarkably kept themselves in the title chase with three wins on the spin.

His team also has a Champions League knockout tie with Borussia Dortmund to look forward to later this month.
Bent played for Spurs between 2007 and 2009, scoring 18 goals, and he thinks Pochettino deserves credit.
He told talkSport: I was one of the guys who thought they might struggle.
“Missing Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Son away playing for his country, I thought they were going to struggle but they have somehow managed to keep the results coming.”
Strength in depth
It is perhaps surprising just how well Spurs have performed in the absence of such big-name players.
It does highlight, however, the vast quality that Pochettino has at his disposal.
Bent, however, thinks the vast majority of the praise boils down to the manager.
He continued: “It’s testament to Pochettino and shows how good a manager he is.
“He is without arguably one of the best strikers in world football in Harry Kane, but other players are stepping up and getting the goals and they still look quite solid.”
Spurs haven’t spent money to sign a single player since Lucas Moura back in January 2018.
Working within a budget is clearly something that doesn’t phase the Spurs boss.
Bent believes that there isn’t really too much for Spurs fans to be negative about at the moment, with things ticking along nicely for the Londoners.
“Not spending any money in strengthening the team, they’re still not in the new stadium – people keep talking about the negatives around the club, but yet week-in week-out they keep churning out results,” Said Bent.
It will be interesting to see where Spurs’ season does finish up, but these comments from the former striker certainly make sense.
Pochettino is a fantastic manager and who knows what he could achieve if he was given a bit of money to spend.
