The transfer saga involving Tottenham star Christian Eriksen is showing signs of heating up.
The Sun reported on Tuesday night that Real Madrid were preparing an offer of £45 million plus Dani Ceballos for the Dane.
Eriksen is out of contract next summer and Tottenham will be desperate to ensure that he doesn’t walk away from the club on a free transfer.
Ceballos, 22 has informed Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane of his desire to leave in a quest to play regular first-team football.
Tottenham can certainly offer him that, especially if Eriksen leaves this summer.
The deal could actually work out well for Mauricio Pochettino. He will get £45 million to pursue another player with, whilst also adding one of Europe’s bright youngsters to his ranks.
Eriksen has proved a decent servant for the North London-based club. In 277 appearances he has scored 66 goals and registered 86 assists.
Following this latest development, Spurs fans seem pretty relaxed about the situation.
They have no choice to be, really. Keeping Eriksen makes zero sense if he won’t sign a new deal. Ceballos is five years his junior and could yet become just as good.

Rather have Isco!

Bite their hand off ! Effectively a £70 – 80 million deal. He wouldn't be our first transfer target but it would certainly add depth. Just so long as we get N'Dombele and Lo Celso as well.

Should ask for Bale or Isco in return.

It’s a good deal but N’Dombelle and Le Celso have to be priority. Add Cebellos too and wow that would be a summer of signings. Seems a bit dreamland for me all 3
