Report: Tottenham could still sign ‘outstanding’ speedster as well as Perisic; Conte sees multiple scenarios

Tottenham Hotspur aren’t messing about already this window and could make a move to sign Filip Kostic, even though they’re close to signing Ivan Perisic.

Perisic is said to be close to completing a deal to join Tottenham today. He was in London overnight, with a medical expected to take place today after personal terms were agreed. The Croatian will bring experience to the Spurs ranks having won titles in Germany and Italy, and is expected to compete predominantly at left wing-back.

However, according to The Evening Standard, there is more to come from Spurs. They claim that Tottenham could still yet move for Filip Kostic as well as Perisic. There is said to be a confidence that Perisic improves the team in other areas of the pitch, leaving Kostic to fill that slot on the left side.

Of course, it was only last week when interest from Spurs in Kostic was reported. The Frankfurt star was integral for the German outfit this year, helping them win the Europa League. The Serbian has been labelled as ‘outstanding‘ player in the past, and is well known for his pace down the flank.

This is going to be one exciting summer for Tottenham fans. The signing of Perisic will be a good one and if they can add someone like Kostic as well, then Conte has two top players in the door already.

Perisic does have that ability to play in multiple positions as well. It’s what makes him such an attractive proposition of a player. With Kostic, you get that direct and powerful running down the left, something Conte craves.

Regardless of if both sign or not, Spurs getting Perisic is huge. If they can add Kostic as well, then all the better.
