Tottenham could reportedly sign Man City ace Gabriel Jesus if the Premier League champions look to sign Harry Kane – a player that Neymar claimed is the most-skilful player he’s played alongside, other than Lionel Messi.
England skipper Kane has reportedly dropped a Tottenham bombshell by telling the club that he wants to leave this summer, with Spurs failing to qualify for the top four – or winning any silverware. That is, despite scoring 32 goals.
Sky Sports state that the 27-year-old wants to remain in England, with Manchester City already in talks over a move. It is claimed that Manchester United and Chelsea have also begun negotiations over a potential deal for Kane.
The Mail claims that Tottenham could look to sign a replacement in a deal for Kane, by orchestrating a player-plus-cash deal and should City come in for him – then Jesus could be included. Neymar raved about him four years ago.
“The most skilful player? Lionel Messi. But after that it’s Gabriel Jesus – he’s incredibly skilful,” Neymar said in 2017, in quotes published by The Sun. “I’d also have to pick Robinho, who is my idol, and Ganso at Sevilla.”

TBR’s view – Jesus would suit Tottenham style
While he would be a massive step down from Kane, Jesus would still be a very good addition at Tottenham and that is largely down to his work rate, speed and that he is still more than capable of scoring goals on a regular basis.
Sky Sports claim Jesus was signed for £27million but he is likely to be worth a whole lot more than that now, having scored 81 goals in 192 City outings, winning the Premier League three times and earning 40 Brazil caps.
But how much of a chunk would it take out of the £150million valuation of Kane? If Spurs could get £100million and Jesus, then it would be an excellent deal on their behalf.
