Tottenham could reportedly sell Giovani Lo Celso despite the 25-year-old midfielder impressing in recent weeks for Spurs.
The Argentine international has enjoyed a renaissance of sorts for the north London club this season, with Lo Celso making 12 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham, scoring two and assisting two.
Lauded by Clive Allen as ‘magnificent’ recently, the thought of selling Lo Celso might seem like a strange one given how well the midfielder has done under Ange Postecoglou.

Yet according to the Evening Standard’s Dan Kilpatrick, there is a chance that the South American maestro could be sold, with FC Barcelona rumoured to be interested in signing Lo Celso.
Kilpatrick said: “Another one is Lo Celso, Barcelona have long been interested in him. He’s obviously had a bit of a renaissance in the first half of the season, but he keeps getting injured and has 18 months left on his deal.
“So, you imagine that Spurs might view him as a sellable asset. Whether Barcelona have anything like the resources to actually get him out of Spurs, I seriously doubt.”
Tottenham would be wise to cash in on Giovani Lo Celso

Lo Celso’s form this season has been impressive, with the former Real Betis star enjoying a new lease of life under Postecoglou, along with a number of other once-forgotten Tottenham players.
Yet with the midfielder’s contract due to expire next year and the north London side showing zero sign of renewing Lo Celso’s contract, a sale in the summer would make quite a bit of sense.
After all, Lo Celso could go on to impress even more in the coming months in the Premier League, with Tottenham still in with a chance of finishing in the UEFA Champions League.
And the Argentine increasing his value could result in Tottenham getting a decent fee for Lo Celso in the summer, an outcome that could please all parties at the end of the season.
