Tottenham’s pursuit of improvement under Ange Postecoglou doesn’t look like slowing down and it could lead them to moving for Spanish midfielder, Brais Mendez.
Spurs are flying under Postecoglou but know full well that a deeper squad will be needed to keep pushing forward this season and beyond. While the first XI is strong, beyond that, Spurs could struggle if a few key players were injured.
The club spent more than £100m in the summer again on James Maddison, Micky van de Ven and Brennan Johnson, amongst others.
And now, Tottenham could be ready to make a move for Real Sociedad midfielder, Brais Mendez.
Tottenham keen £52m Brais Mendez
According to Spanish outlet Sport, Sociedad star Mendez is now a wanted man and Tottenham are among the clubs keen.

Sport claims that Mendez could cost around £52m for anyone wanting to buy him. That would represent a profit for Sociedad, who paid only £14m for him.
It’s reported that Spurs could decide to make their move for Mendez in January, with that £52m release clause the biggest blocker at the moment.
Lauded by teammates for having ‘brutal quality’, Mendez has impressed over the past year and is now part of the full Spanish squad as well.
Tottenham can keep improving
It’s going to be important for Tottenham to keep on improving under Ange and that will mean they need to keep making good signings.
Sure, they have a lot of good players now but all the best teams keep evolving and signing a creative midfielder like Mendez would go down just nicely for the North Londoners.
James Maddison is flying in terms of being a creative force but Spurs need depth and they also need players to push Maddison as well.
Mendez, then, at 26, could be the man to come in and do just that.
