Tottenham could now make a statement signing that really annoys Richarlison after what happened last season

Tottenham have already made one eye-catching signing this summer after events from last season.

Mohammed Kudus and Micky van de Ven scrapped last term during a London derby in N17, which Tottenham won by a 4-1 scoreline, which made for a potentially awkward moment when Spurs signed the Ghana international recently.

However, the pair quickly made amends, with Tottenham posting a hilarious video on their reunion.

Now, a similar amendment might need to be made between Richarlison and Harvey Elliott, as Tottenham consider a move for the Liverpool star.

What happened between Richarlison and Harvey Elliott?

TBR Football understand Elliott is an option for Tottenham after Morgan Gibbs-White decided to sign a new contract at Nottingham Forest.

Should a move for the Liverpool No.19 – who is valued at Β£50m – materialise, it will be interesting to see how Richarlison feels about it.

The Brazil international and Elliott came to blows on the pitch at Anfield last season during a 5-1 win for Liverpool as tensions boiled over, with both receiving a yellow card after a few pushes.

However, the beef continued after the final whistle.

Elliott was seen holding up three fingers to Richarlison during their argument, which some believed to be a mockery of Everton – a club the South American holds close to his heart – as the Toffees have not won a trophy for 30 years.

In the comments section of a TikTok showing that moment, the Tottenham No.9 then mocked the Liverpool man for his lack of goals, posting: β€œHe wants to reach 30 goals in his career I think.”

Elliott has only netted 22 goals in 192 senior appearances throughout his career.

Richarlison might not be around to meet Harvey Elliott anyway

Tottenham may have no need to record an inventive video showing Elliott making up with the Brazilian if an agreement materialises with Liverpool, as his future at Hotspur Way remains uncertain.

TBR Football understand Everton hold an interest in bringing Richarlison back this summer, with David Moyes keen to pair the Tottenham No.9 next to Thierno Barry in attack.

Thomas Frank has already spent Β£85m on Kudus and Mathys Tel, so after a 2024/25 campaign in which Richarlison made just four Premier League starts, his place at Spurs is far from guaranteed.
