Germany boss Joachim Lowe has suggested that Tottenham may have a chance to sign Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger again in January.
Rudiger was linked with moves to Spurs, AC Milan, and PSG on deadline day but ended up staying at Stamford Bridge, despite being well down the pecking order under Frank Lampard.

However, Lowe (via Goal), has admitted that Rudiger could look to move on again in January after apparently ‘trying everything’ on deadline day.
“I was in constant contact with Toni Rudiger, he was keeping me in the loop. He had three or four options over the weekend but unfortunately, nothing materialised – he can try again in the winter,” Lowe said.
“He tried everything to leave Chelsea because the European Championship is very important to him. I think he’ll try to leave again in the winter. He’s doing everything he can to stay in his best form.”
Lowe’s comments suggest that Spurs could well look to make a move for Rudiger again. However, Jose Mourinho may well have Joe Rodon in the building by then, meaning Rudiger may have to look elsewhere.
This will depend on Rodon, and league position – TBR View
It was obvious that Chelsea didn’t want to send Rudiger to a fellow Champions League contender, so it wasn’t the biggest surprise in the world to see the German stay put.

However, it’s also clear that Rudiger wants out at Chelsea. Tottenham would have been a good move for him as well but if they do land Rodon, it’s hard to see Spurs looking at the 27-year-old again.
Hopefully, for Rudiger’s sake, he will get a move eventually and get back to playing regular football.
