Tottenham could be close to announcing Google as a naming partner for their stadium, with a deal now moving closer.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein had initially said that Daniel Levy and co were in discussions with Google to bring their name to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The deal would surely represent huge financial rewards for Spurs, who have seen their stadium lauded as one of the best in the world at the moment.
And according to Di Marzio, those talks with Google are now coming to a close with hope a deal can be completed soon.

Google, as we all know, are one of the world’s leading and richest brands. Any deal with the search engine giant will no doubt bring with it the lucrative financial rewards expected. Indeed, it could directly impact the finances at the club in terms of what Conte can spend on players, as well as helping with FFP issues.
Whether the stadium will simply be known as the Google Stadium remains to be seen. However, this is an exciting time for Spurs fans, who seem to be close to reaping the rewards of the huge investment the club made in the new ground in the first place.
TBR’s View: Tottenham And Google To Set A Precedent
We see this around the world a lot more than in England but big naming rights for stadiums is the way forward for huge sports organisations.
Arsenal and City have done it with their own grounds, while in America, most arenas are sponsored by a big name, with the Barclays Arena and the AT&T Stadium among the bigger names.
This deal with Google could be a game changer for Tottenham and at a time when they have one of the world’s best managers, it couldn’t have come at a better time.
