Tottenham Hotspur hope to have a deal in place to sign Wolves winger, Adama Traore, in the coming days, despite nothing being sorted ahead of this weekend’s Premier League fixtures.

Traore will be part of the Wolves squad this weekend and work is ongoing between both the Molineux outfit and Tottenham to do a deal for the Spanish winger. The speedy Wolves man is into the last 18 months of his contract, and he is expected to move this month. Spurs, as we all know, are frontrunners.

And according to a report from Football.London, Tottenham are hopeful of concluding a deal for Traore in the coming days. It comes as FL claim that the gap in valuations between the clubs has narrowed, with Spurs now close to an agreement.

Traore scored his first goal of the season last weekend and it was enough for former Arsenal man Martin Keown to urge the Gunners to hijack Spurs’ move. Indeed, Keown referred to Traore as ‘just awesome’ following his performance.

It’s been reported that Spurs will pay in the region of £20m for Traore, with potential add-ons. Fabio Paratici is said to be personally wanting the powerful winger and has tracked him ever since arriving in North London.

TBR’s View: Could Tottenham Finally Get Traore?

Well, we hope so. If anything so everyone can move on from the saga and we’ll finally get to see what Conte can get out of the forward.

Traore should be fine at Spurs. His pace and power will make him a big asset down the right and the likes of Emerson Royal must be wondering what’s coming. But Conte knows who he wants, and he clearly feels Traore is his man.

Hopefully, the haggling over a fee doesn’t go on too long and Tottenham will – finally – announce Traore once the weekend is done with.
