‘Let him go’: Tottenham fans react to new Christian Eriksen reports

The transfer saga involving Tottenham star Christian Eriksen is showing no sign of slowing down, with the Danish playmaker into the final year of his contract.

Spurs were reluctant to sell the player during the summer given that no suitor was forthcoming with a reasonable fee. Now, however, they run the risk of one of their star players leaving for free.

According to The Mirror, Real Madrid want Eriksen to sign a pre-contract agreement in January allowing him to move to the Bernabeu for free during the summer of 2020.

Tottenham will surely prefer to recoup some cash for his services and Madrid’s interest could see them step up their attempts to sell him instead.

The player with 90 caps for Denmark has looked out of sorts during the season so far and having rejected a new contract worth £200,000-a-week it seems clear he is keen to leave.

Eriksen is a quality player but if he doesn’t want to be at Tottenham then the club should have cashed in by now.

The club’s supporters are certainly growing frustrated with the constant speculation and lacklustre performances from the midfield maestro.

Following reported developments we looked at a selection of tweets from disgruntled Tottenham supporters who simply want to see and end to the whole debacle:
