Tottenham Hotspur will once again embark on another Champions League adventure this season, looking to go one better than last season when they were beaten in the final by Liverpool.
The draw was made for the 2019/20 instalment of the competition and Tottenham discovered their fate for the opening stages.
A daunting double-header with Bayern Munich is on the agenda, whilst Mauricio Pochettino’s team will also face Olympiacos and Crvena Zvezda.
Tottenham captured the hearts of Europe last season with an unexpected run to the final which was held at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium. They defeated Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Ajax in reaching the showpiece final.
Following the draw, several players have taken to Twitter to speak of their enthusiasm for the competition to get underway once again.
First, influential talisman Harry Kane tweeted saying he was ‘looking forward’ to facing the three opponents in the competition:

Toby Alderweireld was heavily linked with a move away from the club during the summer months but he too took to Twitter.
He hinted that he was eagerly anticipating the ‘journey’ beginning in September:
