Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon is reportedly being eyed by Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.
The English teenager has just experienced relegation from the Premier League, and speculation will now undoubtedly increase over the player’s future.
The Sun claim Sessegnon is considering remaining at Craven Cottage, with Dortmund ready to act on their interest in January 2020 – when he can sign a pre-contract agreement with another club.
As things currently stand, Sessegnon can leave the club for nothing in the summer of 2020.
With Dortmund said to be lurking, Tottenham Hotspur cannot afford to lose out.
Spurs are said to be interested in Sessegnon (recently reported by The Mirror) but they’d be fools to think they’ll have a free run at him.
It’s paramount that Tottenham try and snap him up this summer, as he can be a brilliant long-term investment for a relatively weak area of the team at left-back.
There is a new lure about the Bundesliga for young English players given the successes of the likes of Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson.
Ademola Lookman, Emile Smith Rowe and Reece Oxford have all experienced German football too.
If Tottenham really want Sessegnon, a player with high potential, then they must act fast – they cannot let him slip through their grasp following Fulham’s relegation and Dortmund could be a genuine threat.
