Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino needs to recall Lucas Moura against Newcastle

Tottenham host Newcastle United Saturday afternoon in the Premier League and manager Mauricio Pochettino surely has to recall Lucas Moura to his side.

The attacker has not started a league match since the 5-0 demolition of Bournemouth on Boxing Day, where he managed a goal and an assist.

Spurs have had five league fixtures since, where he missed two through injury and was named on the bench in the other three.

But the 26-year-old made an excellent impact on Wednesday during the 2-1 victory against Watford, as he added some extra quality int he second-half to help his team turnaround a half-time deficit.

The North London club are still without key injured pair Dele Alli and Harry Kane, which is why the manager is relying on his squad to fill the void.

Moura has managed eight goals across all competitions this season, but his form has nosedived slightly recently.

The Brazilian dazzler has the quality to rip defences apart on his day and needs to try recapture his best form to break back into the XI on a permanent basis.

He is in desperate need of a goal to restore confidence and throwing him in for the home clash against Newcastle from the start could be a sensible idea for Pochettino.
