Tottenham have been dealt the blow that Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Pedro Neto may reportedly be sidelined through injury until at least February.
Spurs have been linked with the 21-year-old speedster this summer. 90min claimed in July that Spurs, Liverpool and Juventus had made enquiry to Wolves for their key player.
The £50,000-a-week attacker has been out of action with a knee problem since April and the injury has reportedly got worse.
According to The Athletic, Neto was set to make a return by October. However, a setback in his recovery means that he may not beback until at least February.
If Spurs were looking to ramp up interest in the Wolves man before the window shuts, they’ve just received a massive blow.
Neto is a left-footed forward that can be extremely effective as a winger. Also, he can play in more central roles with his pace and movement.
He previously worked under Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo at Molineux Stadium, so perhaps there is some truth linking him with the north London club.

Pedro Neto would be dynamite for Tottenham
If you look at how Spurs performed at the weekend in the win over Manchester City, adding Neto to that forward line would be a frightening prospect.
The Portuguese talent is one of the best young stars in the Premier League and was the Wolves player of the season last year.
It seems impractical for Spurs right now to step up a bid to sign the ace given his injury.
