It has been claimed that talks between the Catalans and his agents have taken place, but both parties are far away from an agreement to extend his deal.

The report adds that Tottenham are ‘serious’ about signing Rodriguez, and their financial position could blow Barcelona out of the water.

The Spanish giants cannot compete with Spurs when it comes to money at the moment, which is why Ange Postecoglou‘s Tottenham are in a good position to lure Rodriguez away from the Camp Nou.

The scouting website has also given his potential a rating of 10/10, which means Rodriguez has every chance of becoming a world-class player in the years to come.

Tottenham, who recently hijacked Barcelona’s move for Lucas Bergvall, could get one over them again if they manage to sign Rodriguez this summer.
