Fabrizio Romano has shared some exciting news for Tottenham Hotspur fans.
The North Londoners have had a good start to the transfer window. Ange Postecoglou has brought Timo Werner back on another loan deal, while Archie Gray has also arrived from Leeds United.
Young Lucas Bergvall has also officially completed his move to Tottenham, and Spurs fans are really excited to see what he can do in the 2024/25 season.
Postecoglou, however, is not done yet. The Tottenham boss wants to bring in a few more players in this window, and his side are keeping an eye on someone who plays in the Premier League.
Romano has shared the latest on the situation.
Fabrizio Romano shares update on Pedro Neto amid Tottenham links
Pedro Neto has been on the radar of almost every big club in the Premier League.
The Wolves winger, when he’s fit, is an incredible player. He’s terrific on the ball, can play in multiple positions and has proven his class in England over the years.
Neto has been linked with a move to Tottenham for a long time, while several other Premier League sides are said to be keeping an eye on him too.
However, there are two big concerns for all the clubs interested in his services.
The first is his injury history, which is not great at all. The second and perhaps the most important issue is his price tag – it is believed that Wolves want £60 million to let him go this summer (Telegraph).
Romano was asked about Neto, and he has revealed that Tottenham are in regular talks with his agent about a move in this window.
However, if a transfer were to happen, it will be for a reasonable fee – Spurs will not break the bank to sign him.
Romano told GiveMeSport: “They are in regular contact with the agent of Pedro Neto. For Pedro Neto, it really depends on the fee.
“He had many injuries, so Tottenham would be happy to try again for Pedro Neto, but only in normal conditions, not crazy conditions. This is why it also depends on Wolves.”

How bad is Neto’s injury record?
Neto is a fantastic talent.
The 24-year-old has the quality to play for almost every big club in the Premier League. He directly contributed to 14 goals last season despite only playing 24 games.
That shows his quality, but the reason why clubs aren’t queueing up to sign Neto is because of his poor injury record over recent years.
Since the start of the 2019/20 season, the Portuguese attacker has missed a total of 108 games for club and country because of seven different injury issues.
That is really concerning, which is why we just can’t see Tottenham or any other club spending £60 million to get him this summer.
