Antonio Conte has accepted an offer to become the new manager of Tottenham today.
He replaces Nuno Espirito Santo who was sacked yesterday after just four months in charge.
Now, the hard work starts for the Italian. He has to lift the spirits of a dressing room low on confidence and try to get the season back on track.
There really is no time to hesitate and following his appointment, we’ve assessed his opening six games.
But, just how will Tottenham get on during the opening exchanges of his tenure?
Tottenham’s first six games under Conte predicted:
Vitesse (H) – Europa Conference League
This couldn’t really be any more perfect. A game in front of the home faithful and under the Tottenham floodlight.
Conte won’t want to make a habit of his team being seen gracing the Europa Conference League but for now, it’s the hand he’s been dealt.
Expect a comfortable win that gets the ball rolling on a new era with absolute aplomb.
Prediction: 4-0 to Tottenham
Everton (A) – Premier League
The Toffees were dreadful during an opening 45 minutes that saw their own supporters boo them off at Wolves last night.
If they play like that on Sunday, they could be in trouble and Conte may take full advantage.

We think Tottenham could win this one too.
Prediction: 2-1 to Tottenham
Leeds United (H) – Premier League
The Whites aren’t in great form and this is a battle between two great coaches in the world of football.
It should be an electric atmosphere for Conte’s first home game in charge of a Premier League fixture.
If Spurs can keep Raphinha quiet, three points should be there for the taking.
Prediction: 2-0 to Tottenham
Mura (A) – Europa Conference League
This should be another win at a canter for Tottenham.
It will be interesting to see what sort of team Conte utilises for the European campaign.
This one should, however, be a foregone conclusion.
Prediction: 3-0 to Tottenham
Burnley (A) – Premier League
If ever there’s a time you don’t want to face a trip to Turf Moor, it’s at the end of November.
Burnley is cold in the summer and in November it will be positively bracing!

Conte won’t be able to wave a magic wand and we think Tottenham could come unstuck here.
Prediction: 1-0 to Burnley
Brentford (H) – Premier League
The Bees have taken really well to life in the Premier League and have showcased their talents.
Thomas Frank’s team have also enjoyed some really strong performances. They beat Arsenal and West Ham and also secured a draw against Liverpool.
Expect a share of the spoils here.
Prediction: 1-1 draw
