According to various reports, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers could be going head-to-head for Robert Skov this summer.
As per Sky Sports News, Spurs and Wolves have been monitoring Skov. Watford and West Ham have also been looking at the FC Copenhagen starlet.
And all four Premier League clubs have the perfect chance to scout him this summer. The Denmark U21 international is in action at the U21 Euros.
Skov’s Denmark played their opening game against Germany last night. And scouts checking on the winger would have been thoroughly impressed.
Denmark played poorly and were comfortably dispatched by Germany. But Skov was the bright spark for the Danes, causing problems all night from the right flank.
With his persistent running and deceptive skill, the 23-year-old gave Monaco defender Benjamin Henrichs (who has three senior Germany caps) a difficult evening.
Skov got on the scoresheet as well. After a handball in the box, Skov stepped up and confidently tucked his penalty away to give Denmark a consolation goal.
Denmark U21 now play Austria on Thursday in their next group stage match. The pressure will be on Skov to carry his team and Spurs and Wolves scouts should be watching closely.
Skov is a tremendous talent and he is demonstrating it on the international stage. He is well worth the risk for either Tottenham or Wolves this summer.
The left-footed winger likes to start on the right and cut inside, making him a constant goal threat. His record of 32 goals and 10 assists in 48 games for FC Copenhagen proved that.
Skov would need time to adjust to a tougher league like the English top-flight. But he has all the ingredients to become a future star and English clubs should be watching him at the U21 Euros.
