West Bromwich Albion are one of three clubs reportedly interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur youngster Jack Clarke on loan this summer – and fans of both the Baggies and Spurs reacted on Twitter.

Clarke, 20, joined Tottenham for £10million last summer after the England Under-20 international shined in his breakthrough season at Leeds – clocking up 25 appearances and having a hand in four goals.

He returned to Leeds on loan on a season-long loan but after just three appearances during the first half of the season, Spurs chose to recall him and send him on loan to Mark Warburton’s QPR – where Luke Amos was playing.

But Clarke could only play seven more times. Now, Spurs are expected to send Clarke on loan again and the Evening Standard suggest that Fulham, Brentford and the Baggies are all interested in landing him on a temporary basis.

However, it is also claimed that Jose Mourinho wants to take a look at Clarke – given that he has hardly seen the youngster train after joining the club while Clarke was on loan. But a loan is likeliest avenue for the winger.

Both West Brom supporters and Tottenham fans reacted to the news that Clarke could be pulling on a Baggies shirt next term. West Brom fans do not think he is good enough, but Spurs fans want him to be given a chance.
