Tottenham and Leeds fans discuss move for Juan Foyth

Barcelona are reportedly considering a surprise move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth this summer with the Argentine seemingly having little future at Spurs under Jose Mourinho – but he has been linked with Leeds in the past.

Foyth, 22, was brought to Tottenham by Mauricio Pochettino in the summer of 2017 from Argentine side Estudiantes in an £8million deal (Mirror). He has since managed 32 senior appearances for the north London club.

But the arrival of Mourinho, replacing Pochettino, has seen a dramatic fall in game time for Foyth. Indeed, the four-time Argentina cap has been afforded one Premier League start by Mourinho – but was hooked at half-time against Norwich.

Now, The Mirror have reported Barcelona are interested in swooping for Foyth, with the Spanish champions set to let the likes of Samuel Umtiti and Jean-Clair Todibo leave the club in the coming months.

However, Leeds could be another avenue for Foyth – one that promises the Argentine more game time rather than acting as a back-up. Argentine outlet AS claimed Leeds have been interested during Marcelo Bielsa’s reign in charge.

With reports of Barcelona becoming interested in Foyth and Spurs potentially likely to sell the defender, Tottenham and Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to discuss a move to Elland Road for the centre-back in the upcoming window.
