It was reported earlier this week by Foot Mercato – as per The Sun – that Arsenal and Tottenham had both made contact to sign Yacine Adli. The Bordeaux playmaker was excellent in Ligue 1 last season. But the North London duo are set to miss out, with Milan set to land Adli for £8.5million.
That is, according to reports from France – as per GFFN. French newspaper L’Equipe claimed earlier this week that Milan had launched an £8.5million bid to sign the ex-PSG starlet. Now, it is believed that Adli is on his way to Milan and a deal could be concluded soon – with Adli absent from training.

Adli to Milan: Big blow for Arsenal and Tottenham?
It is certainly a blow for the North London clubs. This is a midfielder that already has 70 senior games to his name – 69 for Bordeaux and one for PSG. A France Under-20 international, he has also had a hand in 13 goals – scoring five and creating eight more. Given his age, £8.5million is a bargain.
Tottenham might have been ideal for Adli. They are after a midfielder to partner Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and while he would be some way off being first choice – he would certainly get game time in the Conference League. Arsenal are about to lose Joe Willock and he is a natural replacement.
So, given his age, the need for a young, up-and-coming midfielder and his bargain price tag – it is a blow for Tottenham and Arsenal that Adli is about to join Milan. For Adli himself, though, joining a young Milan side with Champions League football was clearly something he cannot turn down.
