Tottenham alerted as Lorenzo Insigne contract issues continue
Tottenham are on alert over Insigne (Daily Mail).
The Italian is one of the finest wingers in Serie A and would undoubtedly be a fantastic addition to Tottenham.
Over the summer it was reported that the Lilywhites wanted Insigne.
Spurs apparently put together ‘the most financially convincing offer’ for the Italian too.
However, it’s now being reported that Tottenham are on alert over the player’s future.
The player is seemingly nonplussed by ongoing contract talks, claiming that he leaves that to the club and his agent.
In January, the Lilywhites will be able to negotiate with the player as his current contract expires in 2022.
The Euro 2020 champion would make a wonderful signing at Tottenham.
A diminutive winger who knows where the goals is, Insigne has been fantastic for Napoli.
Tottenham are on alert over Insigne
He’s already shown to be one of the best players in his position in Italy.
Across 404 games for Napoli he has 198 combined goals and assists (Transfermarkt).
Tottenham have depth on the wings, however.
Whilst the opportunity to sign a fantastic player for a bargain shouldn’t be ignored, other positions need work.
In midfield and in central defence the fans want to see signings.
However, should Fabio Paratici be able to add Insigne alongside some other signings the fans would love it.
Insigne would be a dream teammate for someone like Harry Kane.
The England captain would thrive from the chances that Insigne is able to create.
The 30-year-old can make space with his passing and his dribbling.
Insigne already has two goals and three assists (Transfermarkt), whilst Spurs are lacking creativity.
The transfer window will be eagerly anticipated by the fans, who are desperate for signings.
However, if Insigne can be one of many new faces at the club then the supporters will certainly be pleased.
