Eddie Nketiah scored a stunning hat-trick for England’s Under-21 side on Tuesday evening as Aidy Boothroyd’s side demolished Austria 5-1 at Stadium MK – prompting reaction from Tottenham, Arsenal and Leeds stars.
Bothroyd’s side kept up their 100% record in Euro 2021 qualifying with a more than comfortable win, that saw Leeds United star Nketiah put the Austrian defence to the sword with three excellent finishes.
Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi also netted twice, as England cruised to a win. It sees England sit top of Group 3, after previously securing wins over Turkey and Kosovo. Nketiah now has five goals in three qualifying matches.
Arsenal youngster Nketiah posted on Instagram after the match, describing his hat-trick in an England shirt as an “unreal feeling” as he continues to show Leeds fans why he deserves to start ahead of Patrick Bamford in the Leeds side.

Leeds are next in action on Saturday afternoon, as they play host to Birmingham City and it will be interesting to see if Marcelo Bielsa takes into account Nketiah’s hat-trick for England’s Under-21 side when picking his side.
Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette described Nketiah as a “clout”, which is renowned for showing off power and influence, while Leeds star Tyler Roberts and Tottenham Hotspur ace Ryan Sessegnon commented on his Instagram post.
