Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch has confirmed that Harvey Sutcliffe has suffered a torn ACL.
The 19-year-old defender is highly thought of at Thorp Arch and has been impressing for the Under-21s.
Sutcliffe was injured in the 81st minute of Monday’s 1-0 victory against Sunderland, having assisted the only goal of the game.

The full-back took to Instagram in midweek to say he’s “gutted” over the injury, and that the “road to recovery starts now”.
And at his press conference ahead of the Arsenal match, Marsch provided an update on the Leeds talent.
‘He’s been a very good player for the Under-21s’
The Elland Road boss admitted everyone at Leeds was “very disappointed” with the news, but said Sutcliffe would be looked after.
“It’s been diagnosed a torn ACL, so we’re all very disappointed for Harvey,” Marsch told the Leeds media team.
“He’s been a very good player for the Under-21s and has flexibility of where he can play in the back line.
“I think he was initially shocked because he has done his ACL on the same knee before. So we were all with him in that, but I think he’s doing better now.
“He knows what the process is and he knows he came back really strong from it the first time.
“We will get him taken care of and look after him, to get back again really strong, fit, and ready to go.”

Terrible news for Sutcliffe, who is facing another long road to recovery after injuring his ACL before.
The youngster is a top talent and you’d have thought he could’ve been knocking on the first-team squad’s door before long.
It’s a real shame but, as Marsch said, he’s come back really strong from it last time, and he’s in good hands at Leeds in terms of his recovery.
