'Top six incoming': Agbonlahor reacts to transfer news coming out of Aston Villa
Gabby Agbonlahor has posted on Instagram that the Premier League’s top six is ‘incoming’ for Aston Villa after they announced the news about Leon Bailey.
On Saturday afternoon, amidst the gloom of Jack Grealish possibly heading to Manchester City, Villa announced on Twitter that they had reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for Bailey’s talents.
No medical or personal terms have been agreed yet, but it seems with all this negativity, the Jamaican superstar has added positive light to proceedings.
Ex-Villa striker, Agbonlahor, has jumped on that bandwagon because he issued this response to the news about Bailey coming out of B6:
“Sign who we want when we want,” said Agbonlahor in the comments section of Sky Sports’ Instagram page.
“Massive club! Top six incoming!!! Stay woke!”
If Grealish does end up leaving for the Etihad then Bailey won’t be his replacement because he was linked with Villa before the news broke.
Rumours suggest that Dean Smith’s side will plot a move for Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell if their star man leaves, according to the Express.
But, in the meanwhile, those with very little knowledge of the Bundesliga, will be looking at various clips doing the rounds on social media and watching YouTube clips of Bailey and probably comparing him to Ronaldinho.
In truth, Villa need to dampen their expectations on the explosive wide player because he will need time to adapt to England’s hard-hitting Premier League.
But the key thing here is that he is walking into a settled side and one that has been progressing each season under Smith’s stewardship.
