Rangers forward Joe Dodoo has finished his loan spell at Blackpool and said his goodbyes to the English third-tier club.

Dodoo tweeted to say thanks to the fans. He said: “I enjoyed my time with I appreciate the support from the fans, teammates and the staff on and off the pitch. I will like to thank everyone at the club and I wish you all the best for the future.”

The former Leicester City man was sent out on loan by Steven Gerrard last summer to get minutes under his belt. Operating on either wing or as a striker, Dodoo was in and out of the Blackpool team.

In 25 matches in all competitions, the 23-year-old scored a reasonably tally of six goals, as well as providing four assists. But whether this is enough to break back into the Rangers team is questionable.

Gerrard seems to have planned for life without Dodoo. And the ex-England youth player hardly set the world alight at Blackpool. Here are how Blackpool fans reacted to Dodoo’s farewell message before his Ibrox return.
