If Liverpool happen to be looking for a new right-sided attacker with a good scoring and assisting record, they could do worse than look at Domenico Berardi.
The Sassuolo winger, who can also play as a second striker, took his tally for the season to 14 goals and 10 assists from 30 Serie A games on Wednesday night.
Berardi was in rampant form against Genoa, providing the assist for Hamed Traore’s opener before curling home a stunning effort from outside the box.

The 25-year-old finished the game with one goal and three assists in a 5-0 win, a result which guaranteed a top-half finish for the Neroverdi.
Berardi also publicly stated last year that, were he able to pick his ideal destination, “I would play in Liverpool” (Gazzetta dello Sport, 12/5/19, via Goal.com).
The Italian has claimed 88 goals and 59 assists from 260 Sassuolo appearances, rising through the club’s ranks at youth level before graduating to the senior squad in 2012.
TBR View:
For most of his career, Berardi has delivered a healthy goal and assist tally, with his underwhelming 2017-18 campaign – five goals and two assists – turning out to be a mere blip.
While Mohamed Salah is first-choice on the right side of attack at Liverpool, Berardi wouldn’t be a bad shout as back-up.
One minor stumbling block for the Reds if they were to move for him could be his lengthy contract – in October last year he penned a new deal to 2024.
However, a decent offer could probably test Sassuolo’s resolve, while Berardi isn’t likely to take much convincing, given Anfield is his dream destination.
