West Ham United newcomer Jesse Lingard has waxed lyrical about new Hammers teammate Declan Rice, describing him as an “amazing” player.
The 22-year-old is one of the most highly rated young midfielders in the Premier League, with 132 competitive West Ham appearances under his belt despite his young age.
Rice has been linked with numerous clubs over the years, including Lingard’s parent club Manchester United.

However, the England international has shown no intention of leaving the London Stadium, where he is contracted until at least 2024.
Speaking to West Ham’s official website, Lingard has singled Rice out for praise, saying: “Dec’s journey has been amazing.
“He’s a top-class footballer and a top-class professional and he deserves everything that comes his way.
“It’s great to be playing with great players who I’ve played with before and understand how I play as well.”
TBR View:
West Ham have been impressive this season, sitting fifth in the Premier League table with 10 wins, and will be hoping to make it 11 away at Aston Villa on Wednesday night.
Rice has played a huge part for David Moyes’ side this term and hopefully his compatriot will hit the ground running in pursuit of the top four.
