Top 10 PL key passers so far: Liverpool star in front; Leeds man 5th; Spurs pair feature

With the help of Whoscored, here is a look at the top 10 players in the Premier League so far when it comes to playing key passes, with stars from the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United included.

10) Pedro Neto (15)

The Wolves youngster has scored one goal and contributed two assists so far.

9) Aaron Cresswell (17)

Aaron Cresswell looks to be back to his best with West Ham United this season. He has been superb on the left of the back three. The Hammers man sits ninth on account of making more appearances than James Rodriguez.

8) James Rodriguez (17)

Everton’s summer signing has been a revelation at Goodison Park. Perhaps, his most notable display came in the 4-2 win against Brighton last month as he scored twice. Remarkably, 12 of his key passes were deemed long passes. No player on this list has managed more.

5) Jack Harrison (18)

The Leeds United loanee has adapted to life in the Premier League superbly. Some of those key passes are likely to have come from superb crosses into the box.

4) Jack Grealish (19)

Jack Grealish may be benefiting from being surrounded by better players as the Aston Villa man seems to have taken his game to another level. Four goals, five assists. Surely Gareth Southgate has to give him a more prominent role in this international break.

3) Bruno Fernandes (20)

Manchester United’s talisman has picked up where he left off last season. He already has five goals in the league, including a brace at the weekend.

2) Kevin De Bruyne (20)

The Manchester City star is probably the least surprising name on this list. He is also the only player included to have only made six league appearances so far.

1) Mohamed Salah (21)

Interestingly, the Liverpool man is the one player on the list to not make a long key pass this season. All 21 of his efforts have been short.
