Tony Dorigo has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he was pleased to see Crysencio Summerville feature for Leeds United on Sunday, claiming that the winger is getting better and better.
Leeds now appear to boast the kind of depth that they could have only dreamed of during the difficult stages of last season. The likes of Mateusz Klich, Patrick Bamford, Willy Gnonto, Sam Greenwood and Summerville were all options off the bench against Aston Villa.

The players available prompted Jesse Marsch to leave Joe Gelhardt out of the squad for the game.
Summerville has looked better and better
Unsurprisingly, Bamford was brought on midway through the second-half. But Leeds also brought on Summerville and Klich ahead of Gnonto and Greenwood ahead of the final 10 minutes.

Leeds saw out the game and had chances to win. And Summerville showed a couple of nice touches while he was on the pitch.
Certainly, Dorigo was happy to see Summerville get his opportunity. He had been a little concerned about his prospects following Gnonto’s arrival. The former Leeds man also felt that he made the most of the opportunity.
“Willy Gnonto was on the bench, which was good to see and as an Italian international it would be hard to believe if he couldn’t get into the matchday squad. But I was still pleased to see Crysencio Summerville coming on,” he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
“Every cameo appearance he’s looked better and better and I did wonder if his opportunities would lessen due to Gnonto’s arrival, yet he got on in the 0-0 draw.”
Winger may have golden opportunity ahead
Summerville does appear to have really stepped up his game in recent months. You can understand why he felt compelled to ask Marcelo Bielsa for a loan move in January.
Under Marsch however, he has started to enjoy a little more game-time. He got half an hour at Brentford before the international break. And he should have arguably had a penalty in that game.
It is hard to determine how the current pecking order shapes up. Marsch has so much choice with Sonny Perkins and Mateo Joseph also knocking on the door in the final third.
But it bodes well for Summerville that he got the nod on Sunday. He will hoping that he gets another opportunity this weekend at Crystal Palace – particularly after Luis Sinisterra’s red card.
