Tony Dorigo praised Leeds United after they managed to beat Hull City 2-0 in the Championship to move back to the top of the league table.
The Yorkshire giants made it seven consecutive league wins to mean they are now 11 points above third and in pole position for the automatic spots.
Jordy de Wijs scored an own goal for visitors Hull at Elland Road when he deflected in Helder Costa’s cross, while substitute Ezgjan Alioski added a second from a tight angle to secure a win in a tough fixture.
Marcelo Biesla’s side had to deal with an opposition that posed an attacking threat, including goal machine Jarrod Bowen and also their physical striker Tom Eaves.
Ex-Leeds defender Dorigo picked out the Whites pair of Kiko Casilla and Gaetano Berardi following their performances in midweek.
Goalkeeper Casilla made a vital same when the score was 1-0 to keep his team in front and he now has four clean sheets in a row.
Meanwhile, centre-back Berardi was tenacious all night with his defending and was up for the battle with Eaves.
“Seven straight wins for Leeds – Not straightforward last night against Hull but the better team won. Two worthy mentions, Casilla’s save and the lion-like performance of Berardi. Brilliant desire and ability all round, now focus shifts to Cardiff. One game at a time,” Dorigo wrote on his personal Twitter account.

TBR’s View:
Casilla is playing out of his skin right now for Leeds and he continues to pop up with a memorable save every game right now, which is a big part of the team’s immense defensive record.
They have conceded only 10 goals in 21 league games so far and the ex-Real Madrid shot-stopper has improved so much at Elland Road.
Meanwhile, Berardi is proof that there is real depth in the Leeds squad and he steps into the side with ease whenever required.
He’s always been a warrior defender that loves throwing his body on the line and that was epitomised by his latest performance.
