Tony Dorigo has heaped praise on Leeds United winger Jack Harrison in a write up on his personal website for his recent form and performance against Preston North End on Tuesday night, as he laid on another assist for the Whites.
Eddie Nketiah’s late goal saw Leeds salvage a point at Preston, despite dominating the game and having 22 attempts at goal – only three of which were on target. Tom Barkhuizen had put Preston in front during the second half.
Harrison, 22, came into the match after laying on assists against West Bromwich Albion, Millwall and Birmingham City in the three previous fixtures. He made it four with a deep cross to Nketiah, who looped a header over Declan Rudd.
The Manchester City loanee, who is earning a huge £51k-a-week on his current contract (Spotrac), has now clocked up five assists this season and scored on the opening day. Dorigo applauded the England Under-21 international.
“Harrison had a decisive game, although he still has room to improve his end product,” Dorigo said. “His tenacity and willingness to keep trying is undoubtedly a testament to his mentality. Let’s also not forget Harrison has had a hand in the last 4 Leeds United goals; he now needs to chip in with the odd one himself.”

TBR’s view – Bielsa’s faith in Harrison being proved right
Last season, Bielsa kept his faith in winger Harrison despite struggling to lay on an assist or find the back of the net on a regular basis himself. The end product was not there, and Harrison certainly had his critics.
But this season, it is clear that Harrison’s five assists so far is proving Bielsa right. If he can keep such form up until the end of the season, he may have contributed over 15 goals for the Whites.
