Tony Dorigo has praised Leeds United winger Jack Harrison for his contribution at Elland Road this season.

The 23-year-old has nailed down a permanent spot in Marcelo Bielsa’s team this campaign and is thriving during a season year on loan with the Whites from Manchester City.

His incredible work-rate down the left flank has ensured he’s featured in all 25 Championship matches so far this season and is a favourite of the manager.

The left-winger does so much defensive work with his tracking back, but he’s also sharpened up in the final third and is weighing in with key contributions.

The English wide man has scored five goals and supplied six assists in the league so far this season.

Harrison managed a goal and assist at the weekend during the remarkable 5-4 win away to Birmingham City.

The result means Leeds sit top of the Championship table ahead of the showdown with second-placed West Brom on New Year’s Day.

Ex-Leeds player Dorigo highlighted Harrison after his latest outing against Birmingham.

“Jack Harrison I think he’s been superb this season. He’s able to charge forward [for the first goal against Birmingham], but then to have the awareness of the run from Costa. He does fantastic to control that volley [for his goal],” Dorigo told LUTV.

TBR’s View:

There is no doubt that Harrison has come out of his shell more during his second season in Yorkshire and has been extremely consistent with his performances all season.

It says a lot that Bielsa has used him in every single match and he’s definitely one of the key cogs driving the promotion bid.

Leeds really have an exciting wide pairing with Harrison and Helder Costa, who have proven they can rip through Championship defences and also match the high intensity of Bielsa’s system.
