Tottenham blew yet another lead on Saturday as they went down 2-1 against Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
Having let two-goal advantages slip against Arsenal and Olympiacos already this season, Spurs spurned the lead Harry Kane handed them in the first half, conceding goals to Ricardo Pereira and James Maddison.
And as per the Times, the Game, 23/09, page 3, Tony Cascarino thinks he’s spotted Tottenham’s biggest issue. He said: “Tottenham’s troubles stem from the fact that the futures of several players in the squad are up in the air. Danny Rose and Serge Aurier explored moves away during the summer.
“Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are in the final year of their deals. Is it any wonder they are struggling to gel? When you include Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura and Victor Wanyama, more than half the team is unsettled. Uncertainty off the pitch has bred inconsistency on it.”

TBR’s View – Tottenham in danger of wasting last season’s strong work
This season should have been one in which Tottenham kicked on. The run to the Champions League final should have quashed the ‘Spursy’ tags once and for all as well as underlining the new expectations of the club.
A first full season in the new stadium and the long overdue arrival of new blood created excitement ahead of the campaign but the momentum has dissipated.
Why the club were even considering letting Danny Rose go is a mystery, and added to the long-running contract issues with the likes of Alderweireld and Eriksen, it creates the uncertainty Cascarino mentions.
Aside from Manchester City and Liverpool, Tottenham’s other top six rivals all have flaws and that still gives them a huge chance to get into the Champions League again. But momentum is ebbing away.
