Tony Cascarino has told The Times that West Ham United attacker Marko Arnautovic’s attitude “stinks” after he reacted badly to being substituted during his side’s 2-0 loss to Everton on Saturday.
Arnautovic, 29, has struggled in claret and blue since his proposed move the Chinese Super League failed to go through in January. He has played seven times, failing to score in any.
It is a stark contrast to the Arnautovic that took the Premier League by storm earlier in the season. He netted eight goals, including strikes against Arsenal, Manchester United and The Toffees.
But he was taken off by Manuel Pellegrini on 67 minutes after an ineffectual display at the London Stadium. He reacted angrily as he made his way to the subs bench, seeming to swear to the fans who were booing him.

Cascarino has slammed the former Stoke City and Werder Bremen man, saying he needs to improve his attitude.
“I don’t doubt his ability but his attitude stinks,” Cascarino said. “He has not scored since being given a pay rise to stop him moving to China in January.
“He was a big problem in the 2-0 loss to Everton and is behaving as he did at the end of his time with Stoke City. West Hamhave a decision to make this summer: should they sell or keep Arnautovic?”
TBR’s view
Cascarino has asked a good question. With Arnautovic set to turn 30 in a couple of weeks, is he really worth keeping if his mind is elsewhere – despite signing a new contract after the January window?
The chances West Ham will be able to reach their January price tag of £45million is unlikely. But something around the £30million mark may still be achievable, especially if Chinese Super League clubs remain keen.
Selling him now is the Hammers’ chance to make a profit. Keep him, and his value will only diminish.
