Tony Cascarino has told The Times that Willian can still prove to be a decent addition to the Arsenal ranks after his performance in the weekend win over Leicester City.
The Gunners ran out 3-1 winners at the King Power Stadium and the Brazilian registered an assist during an impressive display.
He’s struggled for any real form since moving across London from Chelsea in the summer on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old has copped some flak for his poor form but Cascarino thinks he could still come good.
He told The Times: “Willian has been one of the most disappointing signings of the season but against Leicester, he really shone.
“His play is quite simple – pass and move – but he has not really done that until last weekend.
“The club desperately need to win the Europa League and a fully rejuvenated Willian can be a key player in that quest.”
Willian is among the top earners at Arsenal on £192,000-a-week and it’s easy to see why he’s come under fire from supporters.
After registering three assists in a 3-0 win against Fulham on the opening day of the season, he went 18 games without registering a goal contribution in the league.
That simply won’t do and he’ll now hope to kick on.
TBR View: Willian needs to take confidence and start proving his worth
As one of the club’s highest-earning players, some of the criticism thrown at him this season has been justified.
Good players don’t become bad ones in a matter of months though and there is a reason for optimism for Willian.

He was handed a handsome contract by the Gunners and whilst he’s at the club they might as well utilise him.
The man with 70 caps for his country could have a big part to play in the remainder of the 2002/21 campaign.
It’s up to him to take any further chances Mikel Arteta might give him between now and the end of the season.
