Tony Cascarino has criticised Tottenham player Hugo Lloris for his comments this week, adding that it will have left some of his teammates angry with him.
Spurs suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat away to Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday night, which is a result that dumped them out of a Europa League competition they were expected to go far in.
After the European blow, Spurs captain goalkeeper and captain Lloris delivered a hard-hitting emotional post-match interview.
The 34-year-old Frenchman’s damning speech included a critical self-assessment of his team’s performance, as well as suggesting there were real problems at the club (Football London).
But Pundit Cascarino has ripped into the Spurs man for his comments.
He feels that it’s difficult to hear that from someone who’s not performing at his best right now.
“He talks about the selection of what’s going on at the club, that’s a real deep criticism… The second comment is the lack of desire to kill the tie,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.
“He’s coming from a position of not having a very good season. It feels like everyone is patting him on the back saying well said. In his dressing room it won’t be that, it will be how dare you I guarantee.
“As much as fans say we needed Lloris to say something like that, he’s not played well. He’s part of the problem. I think that needs addressing in itself. For me, I can’t see him having a future at Spurs.”

TBR’s View:
Thursday’s defeat has really put the magnifying glass on Spurs, whose season could really swing one way or the other.
The Carabao Cup final against Manchester City in April now has even more pressure on it after failing in Europe, plus it’s even more important now they try close the six-point gap to fourth in the Premier League.
Lloris has tried to show leadership with his post-match Dinamo comments.
Unfortunately, it’s a fair point that the World Cup winner isn’t at his dazzling best anymore.
With his contract expiring in 2022, it will be interesting to see what happens with his future this summer.
