Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has paid tribute to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and expects him to add to his trophy haul before leaving Anfield.
As per TalkSport, Cascarino expects Klopp to win more than the Champions League and the Super Cup before making his eventual exit, he feels will devastate the fans.
He said: “Klopp will continue to get success. Liverpool will be a conveyor belt of trophies in the next few years. It’s one now, but it’ll be far more by the time he leaves Anfield. When Klopp leaves the club, it’ll be full of devastation.
“Personnel have to tick boxes for him which will only produce a successful team. The progression is unbelievable. He took a team over that needed to win things, and he has done that.”
TBR’s View – Klopp is laying down foundations for a Liverpool dynasty
Cascarino is right to say that Liverpool are building towards winning trophies on a consistent basis and that is down to Klopp’s influence.
What he is building may well outlast his tenure, meaning that there need not be that level of devastation when he does leave.
The indications are that he will leave at the end of his current contract and that should give the club enough time to plot a succession plan to ensure a smooth transition.
In the meantime, Liverpool are well on their way to winning trophies on a consistent basis again, and have not rested on their laurels after winning the Champions League.
