Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has suggested Alexandre Lacazette may be sold by Arsenal this summer, in the Times.
Cascarino says Lacazette cannot do what Mikel Arteta is demanding of him in terms of work rate and criticised his performance against Burnley yesterday.
He said: “Alexandre Lacazette needs to up his game. The Arsenal man’s poor display stood out. He just does not look as if he is capable of playing the way Mikel Arteta wants. He doesn’t seem to fit the system. Lacazette wants to play purely as a goalscorer. That is not enough.
“He has to up his work rate and do the closing down and running his new coach demands of him. If Lacazette does not realise that soon, he may find he is not an Arsenal player next season. At the moment, he looks short of confidence because he is not fulfilling his role in the team.”

TBR’s View – Arsenal need a new attacking approach away from home
Lacazette has not scored a Premier League away goal in over a year and Arsenal have had problems on the road which go back even further than that.
Mikel Arteta is making progress but he needs to come up with a new approach to matches away from home because they are too toothless too often.
Lacazette is a huge part of that problem, encountering similar problems to Anthony Martial at Manchester United in terms of holding the ball up and not making runs in behind.
