Arsenal are in the market for a new striker this summer.
Over the past year or so, there have been numerous suggestions that the Gunners need a new striker, and with the summer transfer window around the corner, fans and pundits alike are imploring Arsenal to go and sign a new centre-forward.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Tony Adams has echoed that sentiment, claiming that he thinks Arsenal do need a striker this summer.
Adams discussed Arsenal’s need for a striker and their current options, expressing doubts over both Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
Indeed, Adams questioned whether or not Havertz can continue the good form we saw towards the end of the season, while he stated that he’s still not sure about Jesus as a player.

Tony Adams not sure about Gabriel Jesus
Adams shared his verdict on Arsenal’s striking situation and the £45m man.
“Let’s go again and progress on that. For me maybe we need a centre-forward still, Havertz had an unbelievable season, can he do it again? I don’t know, Jesus? I’m not sure,” Adams said.
Jesus hasn’t done it for Arsenal
Gabriel Jesus is clearly a very talented footballer, but the reality is that he hasn’t delivered the goods for Arsenal for a long time now.
The Brazilian struggled for fitness for most of last season, and when he did play, he was ineffective in front of goal.
For a £45m striker, Jesus’ goal tally since joining Arsenal has been pitiful, and while he brings a lot more to the team than just goals, you do need to possess some sort of threat if you’re going to help your team win a Premier League title.
Arsenal need a new striker this summer who is the full package, but whether or not they can sign such a player remains to be seen.
One thing is for sure, Arsenal’s striking options at the moment aren’t quite up to Premier League-winning standards.
