There was some cause for concern earlier in the season when the usually reliable Tom Rogic struggled with his form.
Celtic fans have grown used to relying on Rogic to churn out special performances for them.
So when he struggled to impress earlier in the season, it was a worrying omen.
And Rogic’s dip in form coincided with Celtic’s worst start to the season in 20 years.
Had the World Cup taken it out of the Australia international? Did signing a new contract get to Rogic’s head?
These were questions being asked by Celtic fans as they tried to uncover why their number 10 was out of sorts.

But it seems that he is now back to his best again after a couple of terrific performances for club and country.
Rogic played a starring role as Celtic thrashed St Johnstone 6-0 away from home. The 6ft 2in midfield man played some lovely one-two passes with James Forrest, who scored four goals.
And although Rogic did not score himself, he was the real magician, pulling the strings behind the scenes.
He contributed to four of the six goals and provided a timely reminder that he is still a terrific talent.
And this was backed up during the international break. The playmaker played a central role for the Socceroos in their 4-0 win against Kuwait, including scoring one goal himself.
Celtic fans will breathe a sigh of relief now that Rogic is back to his best.
