An injury-ravaged Tottenham Hotspur were dumped out of the Champions League last night, as German side RB Leipzig romped to a 3-0 win on the night. The 4-0 aggregate defeat accurately represents the level of dominance the Bundesliga side operated against Spurs and fans can have little complaint.
Of course, with the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, and Steven Bergwijn all injured, Tottenham were facing a massive uphill battle to secure anything in this tie.

But one former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has also pointed out another player Tottenham are missing, that many seem to forget about.
Tom Huddlestone spent eight years with Spurs, representing England during his time with the club. The 33-year-old, who is now back at boyhood club Derby County, was speaking on BBC 5 Live last night when he suggested Moussa Sissoko’s absence is being overlooked.
“Spurs have lost their two main goalscorers, as well as Sissoko who had been finding his feet over the last 18 months or so.
“The three of them combined have been a huge loss for the spine of this team.”
TBR’s View
There is no doubt that Sissoko has become an increasingly integral player for Tottenham despite initially struggling after a £30 million (BBC) move from Newcastle United.
The Frenchman would undoubtedly have been a big help for Jose Mourinho’s side in recent weeks, adding some mobility and strength that is lacking in midfield.
Unfortunately, Sissoko has been out of action since January after undergoing knee surgery and is not expected to return until next month.
Whether or not he is as pivotal as Kane or Son is up for debate, but there is no doubt his presence would be welcomed amid Tottenham’s current run of form.
