From the moment Leeds United’s second-choice keeper Jamal Blackman had his season ended with a broken leg the rumour mill has churned wildly for potential new recruits.
Leeds have been linked with Jonathan Bond, David Stockdale, Freddie Woodman, Karl Darlow and Keiren Westwood since the injury. Some names have probably slipped through the cracks as well.
Another player linked with a move to Leeds United was Tom Heaton.
As reported by The Sun, the England international was open to a move to Elland Road after losing his place in the Burnley goal to Joe Hart and Nick Pope.
However, it was later reported by The Mirror that Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa had ruled Heaton out. The Argentine felt that Heaton was simply not good enough with the ball at his feet and therefore moved away from a potential deal.

It has not stopped Heaton, who is also wanted by Aston Villa, continually being mentioned as an option for Leeds.
However, after today, it would be a real surprise if Leeds went for the experienced stopper.
Heaton faced off against a Leeds under-23 side today, which also contained first-team players such as Patrick Bamford, Jack Clarke and Izzy Brown.
Leeds ran rampant in a 6-3 win, with Bamford scoring three goals past the Burnley stopper with ease.
Whilst not necessarily at fault for any of the goals this was hardly what he needed if a move to Leeds was his intention.
Villa Park would now seem a far likelier destination.
