Rangers could be in the hunt for a new striker this January to ease the pressure on Alfredo Morelos.
With 15 goals in just 25 games, Morelos is Rangers’ top striker and his goal scoring ability is pushing them up the league table.
But he has also received three red cards this season and his lack of discipline is a major concern.
Moreover, the 22-year-old cannot carry Rangers on his own; he needs support and his back-up strikers are failing to produce the goods.
Umar Sadiq has looked out of his depth whenever he has been on the pitch and experienced forward Kyle Lafferty has been in poor form.
The Northern Ireland international has four goals in 14 games since his summer switch from Hearts.

And his Rangers future could be in doubt, judging by the latest media reports. Sky Sports News report that the Gers are keen on Gillingham striker Tom Eaves.
The 26-year-old stands at 6ft 5in tall so he is of a similar build to Lafferty and Steven Gerrard might see this as a like-for-like replacement at Ibrox.
Eaves has been in fine form for Gillingham, netting 13 goals in League One to top the scoring charts in the third tier.
The ex-Bolton striker has scored 32 goals in a season-and-a-half with the Gills and he is unlikely to extend his stay beyond the end of the season.
Gerrard could swoop for Eaves on a cut-price deal and this could move Lafferty closer to the exit door.
